In 2017, I made the decision to grow my business and found the perfect space for my new venture. Our stunning grade 2 listed barn, allows us to welcome up to 12 students to learn from the very best cake designers in the industry.

In Spring 2020, we launched our online cake school, which brings learning to the comfort of your own home. We are teaming up with a range of tutors to bring you professional tutorials for those students who are unable to attend our workshops in person. We have had students ask us time and time again, if we will be able to offer online tutorials and so this is for you! We value each and everyone of our followers, students and tutors and listen to what you would love for us to do next, so this next adventure is super exciting!

With a recent expansion, we now also have a second classroom and shop, where you can buy all of your essential cake making equipment. We offer a click and collect service and world wide shipping making it easy to get all your cake goodies at the click of a button. We are lucky to be working with a range of brands and our brand family is ever growing! So, if you would love for us to stock a particular item or brand then let us know.

Our cake school is based in the heart of the small and very picturesque village of Wedmore, the perfect place to spend a few days. We have free parking onsite, accommodation and places in the village to eat. If you are travelling with a friend; a loved one or even with children there is plenty for them to do and explore, they can’t possibly get bored!

Sunflower Bakery Cake School is my happy place!  From the minute you arrive Kelly makes you feel welcome and relaxed.  She has created a warm, inviting studio in which to learn from some of the most amazing cake experts and spend time with like-minded cake people.  This wonderful place is a tribute to her hard work and fabulous personality.  I have been many times and I have no doubt that I will return many more.  The studio is in the beautiful village of Wedmore, Somerset.  It couldn't be better located - close to Bristol airport, main motorways which link easily to London, the South West, the Midlands and beyond so really easy to get to yet in the peace and tranquillity of the countryside.  I make a wonderful mini-break of my visits and stay at The Swan in the village which is a little gem - comfortable rooms, delicious food and great gin!  I absolutely love it and can't wait for my next visit.

I attended the Debbie Brown Unicorn modelling 1 day course on a grey day in January. You immediately receive the warmest of welcomes from Kelly and she puts you at ease with her warm and friendly charm and enthusiasm. The location is beautiful even in January and everything is laid out just so.  Well equipped, comfortable and a great space to learn. Everything is thought of and you even get a lovely lunch and time to stretch your legs in the beautiful pub opposite.

We currently offer workshops for children and adults in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire. Whether you have a children's party to arrange, a baby shower, hen party or simply want to learn a new skill, we can help!

We have a range of workshops for all abilities and if you have a specific skill you would like to learn then simply get in touch and we can try our best to tailor a workshop for you.
